The short version

GearXL does not load Google Analytics or send analytics data until you select Accept analytics. Declining analytics does not limit product comparisons or Amazon links. Advertising storage and ad personalization remain disabled even when analytics is accepted.

Consent preference

Your analytics choice is stored in your browser's local storage under gearxl.analytics-consent. This preference is necessary to remember your choice. You can change it at any time.

Google Analytics

If you accept, GearXL uses Google Analytics 4 to measure page views, referral sources, approximate location, browser and device information, engagement, and outbound Amazon affiliate clicks. Google Analytics may set first-party cookies beginning with _ga to distinguish users and sessions.

Affiliate-click events include the Amazon destination, product ASIN, and link placement. GearXL does not send names, email addresses, payment information, or Amazon account information with these events. Learn more in Google's GA4 data collection documentation and privacy policy.

Amazon affiliate links

GearXL participates in the Amazon Associates program. Amazon links are marked as paid affiliate links. If you follow one, Amazon may process information under its own privacy notice and GearXL may earn a commission from a qualifying purchase. GearXL does not receive your Amazon payment details.

Product prices and availability are recorded catalog data. Verify the current listing on Amazon before making a purchase.

Your controls

• Decline optional analytics in the consent banner.
• Reopen Cookie preferences from any page footer.
• Clear site data in your browser to remove the saved preference and any existing analytics cookies.
• Use browser privacy or tracking-protection features as an additional control.
